GUWAHATI, May 3 � Nitish Das of City Faculty School is in sole lead with 6.5 points after 7 rounds in the All Assam Prize-money School Chess Tournament organised by the Guwahati Chess Association in association with South Point School.
In the seventh round, Nitish drew his game against Uddipta Kakati of DPS. In other major matches of the day at the South Point School indoor stadium here, Anurag Kalita of Maharshi Vidya Mandir, Mangoldoi beat Manthan Kashyap Datta of DPS, Dhrupad Kashyap of Sarala Birla School beat Arunabh Gohain of Maria�s Public School.
After seven rounds, Uddipta Kakati, Anurag Kalita and Dhrupad Kashyap remain second spot with 6 points each. Satabdajit S Baruah, Debanga Kalita, Uddipta Gogoi and Bhabishnu P Bordoloi are in the third spot with 5.5 points each. The closing function will be held at 3 PM tomorrow.
