NIT Silchar celebrates �Posua�

SILCHAR, April 12 � The students of the National Institute of Technology (NIT) Silchar recently celebrated their annual Rongali Bihu festival �Posua� 2015 at the institute premises with great fervor and zeal.

The festival began with the hoisting of the Posua flag by Prof NV Deshpande, the director of the institute. This was followed by a series of traditional games for the children like tug of war, painting, racing etc. The students of the institute grooved to some popular Bihu songs as well. A Bihu Husori competition and Bihuwoti competition were also organised which saw a large participation.

On the other hand, the cultural show and a fashion show which showcased the cultural diversity of the North-East were enjoyed by all. The biggest attraction for the festival was popular singer Dikshu�s performance which enthralled the audience during the festival.
