Japanese carmaker Nissan has announced the starting prices the Terrano AMT beginning at Rs. 13.75 lakh to Rs. 13.85 lakh. Nissan has equipped the Terrano with a 6-speed automated manual transmission (AMT).
The bookings have also been commenced by the manufacturer at dealerships for a deposit of Rs. 25,000. The company will also begin sales of the Terrano AMT in the later part of this month.
Nissan has based the AMT version of the Terrano on the XV D Premium trim. The transmission option has been linked to the 1.5-litre diesel motor that delivers 108 bhp of power and 248 Nm of torque. The Terrano AMT will also deliver an ARAI-certified fuel efficiency of 19.61 kmpl.
While the Terrano AMT is a transmission upgrade, Nissan has made 14 new enhancements and added some special equipment to all Terrano variants as well. In the Terrano AMT, safety tech gets enhanced with Electronic Stability Program (ESP) and Hill Assist Control (HAC).
Standard enhancements on all trims include automatic warning for emergency braking, one touch turn indicators, illuminated switches, etc. The other new 14 enhancements include anti-pinch driver side windows, driver armrest, electrically foldable ORVMs with integrated side indicators, etc.
Nissan Terrano gets powered by both petrol and diesel fuel options with a 1.6-litre petrol motor mated to a manual transmission and the 1.5-litre diesel motor. The AMT option gets mated to the diesel motor on the XV D Premium trim, while the diesel-powered Terrano mated to manual gearboxes are also available in the XE 85 PS, XL Plus 85 PS and XV Premium 110 PS trims. Nissan has also added Sandstone Brown color option to the existing 6 colour options the Terrano has been offered in.
