MORIGAON, Feb 16 - The National Initiative for School Heads and Teachers Holistic Advancements (NISHTHA) training programme in Lahorighat Education Block under Morigaon district concluded today under the aegis of Morigaon unit of Asom Sarba Siksha Abhiyan Mission. The concluding function was held at Kushtoli-Borongoni High School. Altogether 5841 teachers were covered by this NISHTHA training. The teachers were imparted training on school timings, toilet maintenance, cleanliness of teachers first, Midday Meal record keeping and teaching methods in this mega training programme.
Addressing the open meeting held on the occasion, Kamal Jyoti Gogoi, District Elementary Education Officer, Morigaon said that Morigaon district achieved first position in Mid Day Meal Reporting, Free Text Books distribution and NISHTHA training within the State. In the function, Gogoi released two hand written magazines of the teachers. Speaking on the occasion, Gogoi said that SSA, Morigaon has chalked out programmes like� Book Reading Competition, Eco Club formation, examination preparation through Chief Minister�s scholarship to HSLC candidates etc. To implement those schemes successfully teachers must be well trained. He further said in Morigaon district Rashtriya Bal Sasthya Karyakram (RBSK) is going on where along with the study of the school children, their health will be checked up regularly. In the function, the teachers and students presented cultural programmes.
