DIBRUGARH, June 20 - Shuttlers Ningshi Block Hazarika of Assam and Kuhoo Garg of Uttarakhand won the bronze medal in women�s doubles at the Mauritius International held in Mauritius.
The meet concluded on June 18. The Indian duo defeated the Mauritius pair, Kobita Dokhee and Shania Leung in straight sets 21-18, 21-16, in the quarterfinals to enter the semifinals. But, in the last-four stage they went down to the Zambian pair and secured the third place. This is Ningshi�s first achievement in an international championship. The 19-year-old local girl Ningshi, has been a trainee of the Pulella Gopichand Academy, Hyderabad since 2013.
