IMPHAL, Oct 31 - Manipur towns particularly Imphal wore a festive look on the eve of Ningol Chakkouba, the greatest annual festival of Manipur tomorrow. Kut, the post harvest festival of the Kuki-Chin-Mizo community also coincides with Ningol Chakkouba this year.
In view of the two festivals on November 1, all streets in the State capital remained congested since the last three days as buyers thronged the the main market for shopping.
Manipur Governor Dr Najma A Heptulla and Chief Minister Okram Ibobi Singh have extended their greetings to the people on the occasion of
Ningol Chakkouba and Kut.
