DIMAPUR, Sept 12 - Night curfew has been reinforced from 6 pm to 6 am in the areas of Assam side bordering Nagaland.
According to an order issued by Sivasagar Additional District Magistrate today, movement of any person, group of persons and vehicles in the 5 km belt in Assam side of Sivasagar district bordering Nagaland has been prohibited during the curfew period.
However, security personnel and the officials on duty are exempted from the purview of the prohibitory order.
The prohibitory order which came into force on July 26, 2017, shall remain in force for a period of 60 days, the order said.
