JORHAT, March 15 - The Principal of the Cinnamara-based Jatiya Bidyalaya, Dibyajyoti Sarmah has been summoned by NIA for questioning at its Sonapur office off Guwahati on March 16 in connection with Case No. 13/2019/NIA-Guwahati dated 14.12.2019 under Sections 120 A, 124 B, 153 A, 153 B of IPC and Sections 18/39 of Unlawful Activities Prevention Act.
Sarmah, who is reportedly associated with KMSS was arrested at Jorhat along with KMSS leader Akhil Gogoi on December 12, 2019. He was, however, subsequently granted bail by the sub-divisional court here.
Sarmah said that he was contacted by the NIA telephonically and had also received the summon letter on Saturday evening.
