MORIGAON, Aug 13 - The Hindustan Paper Mill Protection Manch will observe a 24- hour fast on the eve of the Independence Day celebrations from 6 am on August 14 and stage a blockade of National Highway-37 at Jagiroad protesting the callous attitude of both the Central and Assam governments for the revival of HPC Mills at Jagiroad and Panchgram.
In a press release, the chief convener of Hindustan Paper Mill Protection Manch said that the employees and workers of two papers mills are starving and their future is hanging in balance as the BJP government did nothing to revive the two heavy industrial units of the State.
