SHILLONG, March 13 Meghalaya Chief Minister Mukul Sangma informed the House today that Meghalayas revenue collection has been hit due to the National Green Tribunals (NGT) coal mining ban.
Stating that the financial crunch was unexpected, he further told the House during question hour that the State Government is trying to generate resources from other sources. He said the non-plan expenditure was brought down by 20 per cent due to this fund crunch.
Explaining that non-plan expenditure involves important committed liabilities such as payment of salary, pension, interest payment, subsidies and maintenance of created assets, Sangma added resources are being gathered from different sources. Correspondent
