By Correspondent

NAMRUP, July 28 Basundhara, a non-governmental organisation here devoted mainly to preservation of Nature, is going to set up a new school at Namrup from the next academic session, i.e., 2012, in the model of Axom Jatiya Vidyalaya, Guwahati.

While speaking on this plan, Pallov Saikia, director-in-chief, Basundhara, said, We have already planned to usurp a new era in Namrups educational scene giving proper emphasis on both the moral and intellectual development of children, so that they would be able prove themselves in this competitive world.

Besides core subjects, proper care would be taken to uplift the physical abilities of the learners by providing standardised physical exercises under the guidance of competent physical instructors.

The venue of the said school would be BVFCLs Sector C old APL School, which had long been closed owing to some reasons. Basundhara has already got required permission from the BVFCLs Namrup authority to use the aforesaid building for the proposed school on rental basis.

Since its inception, Basundhara has been initiating several environmental and health- related programmes like planting of saplings, creating awareness among themselves on the conservation of ecosystem in this very ecologically fragile industrial belt, and organizing free medical camps from time to time.

People of the locality have praised the efforts of Basundhara. The conscious section and the inhabitants expect that Basundharas proposed school (from Ankur to Class X) will facilitate best possible education to children.
