NGO submits list of demands to Meghalaya CM

TURA, Sept 1 - A delegation of members from NGO Association for Democracy and Empowerment, Southern Zone, met Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad K Sangma and Home Minister James K Sangma and submitted a memorandum, seeking fulfilment of various demands.

The NGO delegation, which met the two leaders in Shillong on August 30, sought upgrade of the existing 33KV power line to 133KV and addressing the manpower shortage at power stations.

They also demanded the appointment of a full-fledged principal at the Government Higher Secondary School in Baghmara, which has been running since 2013 without a principal.
