NGO Puhor comes to aid of stray canines at Jorhat

GUWAHATI, April 3 - Amidst the fight against the dreaded COVID-19 pandemic, Puhor-Voice for the Voiceless, a non-profit organisation of Jorhat, is rendered humanitarian service to hungry stray dogs by feeding them at least once a day during the lockdown, stated a press release received here.

While many stray dogs have been adversely affected during the ongoing lockdown, members of Puhor not only rescued some stray canines, but also provided them food and medical treatment, said Sristi Bokul Baruah of the NGO.

In this hour of crisis, the organisation which has been winning the goodwill of the people of Jorhat with its voluntary service, has appealed for donations either in cash or kind from the public in order to continue the good work in the coming days.
