TURA, June 26 - Aggrieved over the lack of infrastructure for higher education in North Garo Hills district, members of Garo Students� Union, Northern Zone, met Meghalaya Chief Minister Dr Mukul Sangma in Shillong recently to seek his intervention into the problems being faced by the student community.
Along with MLA of Mendipathar, Marthon J Sangma, Union members submitted a memorandum to the CM seeking provincialisation and upgradation of Mendipathar College as a large number of students of the district could not be accommodated into the College this year.
