GUWAHATI, Oct 1 - Aaranyak, a conservation NGO, on Friday felicitated the police team of Jakhalabandha Police Station for their committed effort in arresting rhino poachers.
At a function organised by Aaranyak at the Jakhalabandha Police Station, the NGO felicitated the entire police team of the police station.
Speaking at the function, Dr Bibhab Kumar Talukdar, secretary general of Aaranyak, lauded the continued efforts of the Jakhalabandha police team under the leadership of its officer-in-charge, Deben Bora, and appreciated their sincere efforts in arresting rhino poachers along with arms and ammunition and preventing many poaching attempts at the Kaziranga National Park.
Presiding over the meeting, the commanding officer of the Village Defence Organisation for Nagaon circle, Upen Hazarika, appreciated the Jakhalabandha police for their success and efforts in nailing down many rhino poachers in recent months.
The officer-in-charge of the Jakhalabandha Police Station, Deben Bora, stated that he had always received good support from his police team and higher officers that had resulted in the arrest of many rhino poachers. He maintained that his team would continue the efforts.
