GUWAHATI, May 23 � NF Railway Sports Association and Nagaon won their first round matches of the on going Umananda Bora Trophy U-13 Inter District Cricket Tournament.
NF Railway boys defeated Morigaon in the first match of the day at the Nehru Stadium here by 22 runs while in the second encounter Nagaon earned a facile six-wicket victory against Margherita.
In the low scoring match, Nagaon scored 79 for the loss of five wickets in the allotted 18 overs. But the Morigaon batsmen never looked capable enough to chase down the target and were all out in 15.1 overs after scoring 57.
It was poor show of batting by the Margherita team as they were all out for a paltry 39 in 16.4 overs. Nagaon batsmen hit up 40 losing four wickets in 14 overs.
