GUWAHATI, Sept 19 - Four boxers of NF Railway performed brilliantly in the All India Railway Boxing Championship which concluded at the Maligaon Indoor Stadium last evening.
The NF Railways boxers � Bhagyabati Kachari, Rumi Gogoi, Namita Kachari and Minu Basumatary clinched gold medals in the four-day championship organised by the NF Railway.
Another women boxer Janhabi Gogoi went down in the final and settled for silver.
A total of 140 boxers including men and women, participated in the meet. Altogether 27 international boxers, including 18 male were in the fray for titles in different age groups.
Two Arjuna Awardees � Manoj Kumar and Mandeep Jangra were also in action in the championship.
Northern Railway stood first in the men�s category while Central Railway and North Central Railway took the second and third spot respectively.
In the women�s section, North Western Railway became overall champion and they were followed by NF Railway and Northern Railway. NF Railway GM Chahatey Ram distributed the prizes in the closing function.
