NFR to operate special trains for Sabarimala

GUWAHATI, Nov 16 � The Northeast Frontier Railway (NFR) will operate a fortnightly special train from Dibrugarh to Kochuveli over the next couple of months to clear extra rush of passengers during the Sabarimala season and for patients seeking specialized treatment in the southern states. The 06335/06336 Dibrugarh-Kochuveli-Dibrugarh will make five trips both ways, NFR PRO Nripen Bhattacharya said.

The train will depart from Dibrugarh at 12.15 am on November 24, December 8 and 22 and January 5 and 19 (all Sundays). It will depart from Kochuveli on November 19, December 3, 17 and 31 and January 14 (all Tuesdays).

The train will stop at New Tinsukia, Dimapur, Lumding, Guwahati, Goalpara Town, New Bongaigaon, Asansol, Bhubaneswar, Vishakapatnam, Vijaywada, Chennai Central, Coimbatore, Thrissur and Kottayam, among other stations.

It will consist of one AC-2 tier, two AC-3 tier, four sleeper class, six general chair car, six general second class and two SLR coaches.
