GUWAHATI, Oct 19 - The Guwahati Senior Citizens� Association (GSCA) on Saturday expressed shock and sorrow over the alleged attitude of the NF Railway authorities in giving preference to candidates from Bihar, Uttar Pradesh and Rajasthan superseding the genuine claims of candidates from Assam and the North East.
The association at a meeting held at Pensioners� Bhawan under the presidentship of DN Chakravartty also suggested that organisations like AASU file a PIL in the Supreme Court challenging the �unlawful� act of NF Railway.
The meeting also condoled the death of Parikshit Hazarika, Ambu Bora, Dr Dilip Dutta, Dr Debadhar Sarma, Hemanta Kumar Goswami, Arati Baruah and Liyakat Ali Khan.
