GUWAHATI, Dec 23 - Northeast Frontier Railway Officers XI got the better of Media XI in a friendly match at the NFRSA Stadium in Maligaon here today.
Electing to bat, Media XI put up a total of 138 in their stipulated 20 overs. In reply, the railwaymen put up a 139 runs for the loss of one wicket in 19 overs. Chahatey Ram, GM NFR; Prasant Mishra, DRM Tinsukia; Lokesh Narayan, AGM NFR; Robin Deka, president NFRSA and K Singsom, secretary NFRSA; among others featured in the Railway side. Also present were former noted cricketers Rajesh Borah, assistant sports officer and Zaved Zaman, secretary cricket.
