TINSUKIA, Oct 20 � In the low scoring final match of the One Day Inter District Cricket Championship for the Nurul Amin Trophy, played at the Tinsukia District Sports Association�s, Katchujan field here today, NF Railway Sports Association defeated Nagaon by 8 wickets.
Opting to bat first, Nagaon were all out for a paltry 105 in 34.4 overs in the 50-over match. Offie Arlen Konwar ripped through the Nagaon batting line up with a rich five-wicket haul giving away 31 runs.
In reply Railway team crossed the targets in 17. 3 overs losing only two wickets. Parvez Aziz scored 54 runs.
Sanjib Handique, assistant secretary of Assam Cricket Association and Pradip Hazarika, general secretary of Nagaon Sports Association gave away the trophies in the closing function.
