GUWAHATI, July 8 - Experienced NF Railway Sports Club toyed with Mahabahu Sangha and posted a 8-0 victory in a quarterfinal match of the 12th Nripendra Narayan Bhattacharyya Knock-out Football tournament at the Nehru Stadium here today.

Mahabahu Sangha, a B Division side under the Guwahati Sports Association, played like amateurs and miserably failed to match with their fancied opponent.

KC Lal opened the account in the 27th minute but during the remaining period in the first session NF Railway could not enhance the margin.

In the second session the NF Railway players overpowered the opponent and started hitting the target in regular intervals. Frontliners Jilendra Brahma, Sibra Narzary and Sankar Sil were too fast and they tore apart the opponent defence line. In the second session they scored as many as seven goals.

Sibra netted two snap goals in the 50th and 52nd minute respectively while Jilendra added one after two minutes to make it 4-0. After that it was Sankar who registered a hat-trick scoring in the 70th, 75th and 77th minute. Jilendra completed the rout in the 80th minute.

Today�s match: Gauhati Town Club vs Narengi SC.
