GUWAHATI, Aug 22 NF Railway Sports Association and Sunrise Athletic Club shared points in the RG Baruah Super Division Football League playing a 1-1 draw.

In a fast-paced encounter at the Nehru Stadium here today, the halftime scoreline was goalless.

On a slightly slippery ground, both the teams adopted attacking tactics from the very beginning and initiated a series of attacks and counter attacks throughout the course.

NF Railway frontliners Jilendra Brahma, Dipak Ghatowar and Bappa Biswas got adequate support from Prasanta Bharali and Kapil Daimary. But despite creating several openings they failed to break the deadlock before the 63rd minute. Finally, Dipak managed to push the ball home off a melee. Railway attackers Kapil, Jilendra and Dipak himself squandered easy sitters by which they could have taken a big lead.

Vikram Singh restored parity in the 83rd minute with a beautiful header off a floater sent by Techi Takar from the right flank.
