GUWAHATI, Sept 17 - Six staff of the Maligaon-headquartered Northeast Frontier Railway (NFR) have been recently awarded by the railway authorities for showing exceptional devotion towards duty and preventing probable mishaps.
They are Shib Shankar Singh, track maintainer; Prasenjit Roy, track maintainer; Sone Lal Ram, helper; Kundan Kumar, technician; Amar Nath Bhagat, driver; and Pawan Kumar, assistant driver.
In recognition of their meritorious service in preventing accidents, all of them were given a cash award of Rs 2,500 and a certificate each by NF Railway General Manager Sanjive Roy.
