GUWAHATI, Aug 28 - Former champions NF Railway Sports Club (NFRSC) made a smart comeback in the RG Baruah GSA Super Division Football League.

Suffering a 1-3 defeat at the hands of FC Green Valley in their opening match on August 19, the railway boys today pipped fancied ASEB Sports Club 2-1 at the Nehru Stadium here.

Displaying an impressive show, the NFRSC boys went ahead in the 43rd minute through Chayaram Basumatary. Chayaram beat the opponent goalkeeper Daoga Brahma at the far post with a grounder after anticipating a measured through from Sibra Narzary.

It was Chayaram-Sibra combination again in the 63rd minute which resulted in the second goal for the winning team. This time Chaya set the ball for Sibra from the left flank and Sibra gently pushed the ball into the net.

Today, the ASEB defenders were not in right form to counter the agile NFRSC frontliners. Helped by Bappa Biswas from the mid field the railway striking brigade kept ASEB defenders on their toes through out the course.

In the later stage of the match the ASEB attackers Jwmbla Brahma and Sanjoy Boro tried heart out but finally could not find the equaliser.
