GUWAHATI, Dec 18 � NF Railway Cricket Academy clinched the Ankurjyoti Challenge U-16 Cricket Tournament title for the Sasanka Borkakoti Trophy.
The NF Railway boys won the final against River Rine Cricket Coaching Centre by 41 runs at the Latasil playground here today.
The NF Railway team was asked to bat first and in the allotted 30 overs they scored 143 for the loss of nine wickets. Hrishikesh Das and Abhilash Das were their main contributors with 24 and 23 respectively.
The target seemed to be big for the Ankurjyoti batsmen as they fell 41 runs short. Subham Jha and Md Rizwan tried to build the innings with 22 and 21 respectively, but their efforts were in vain as they were all out for 102.
Aman Chetri of the winning team was adjudged best player of the tournament which was organised by the Ankurjyoti Club.
