GUWAHATI, Jan 30 � News Live posted a three-wicket victory against DY 365 in the thrilling first semifinal of the TG Baruah Memorial T20 Media Cricket Tournament and sailed through to the final. At the Judges� Field here today, opting to bat first, DY scored a challenging 156 for the loss of five wickets in the stipulated 20 overs. The highlight of the DY innings was a 67-ball 121 by Robin Das. He hit as many as 16 boundaries and five over boundaries.
But his brilliant knock went in vain as the News Live team crossed the total with just one ball to spare losing seven wickets. Man-of-the-match Anupam Mahanta was instrumental in News Live victory as he scored 74 off 49 deliveries. Pranjal Phukan was their other useful contributor with 20.
