SILCHAR , May 5 - Prof Dilip Kumar Nath, Professor at the Department of Statistics, Gauhati University, has been appointed the new Vice Chancellor of Assam University, Silchar, according to AU sources.
Prof Nath will take over charges from Prof RR Dhamala, who is currently administering the proceedings as the acting Vice Chancellor of the university.
Meanwhile, talking to this correspondent, Prof Nath expressed his happiness and said that he would be joining the university around May 16.
