GUWAHATI, Feb 2 � Union Sports Minister Sarbananda Sonowal on Monday inaugurated �The Cube�-Sports Complex� comprising a badminton court, table tennis court, squash court and billiards court at Royal Group of Institutions.
Addressing the function on the occasion, Sonowal said that the Government was committed to initiating measures for development of sports infrastructure and promoting sports talent.
��posterity will appreciate the present Government of providing facilities to meritorious sports students a platform to shine. India being the youngest country in the world with 65 per cent of its population from the youth, it is indeed a challenge for the Government to instill, inspire and launch sports personnel in the world arena,� he said.
Inaugurating the sports complex, Sonowal wished every student present in the gathering to play sincerely and not just for the sake of it.
