GANGTOK, June 27 - The Sikkim Government has formulated a new Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) for returnees who enter the State after June 30.
According to the new SOP, free quarantine facility will be available to only those persons who belong to economically weaker sections.
An order was issued today by the East district administration, which was stated that �all Sikkimese belonging to economically weaker section of the society such as AAY/PHH/OPH categories will be allowed to be accommodated in free quarantine centres. All other returnees shall be accommodated only in paid quarantine centres.�
