GUWAHATI, Oct 27 - Lokapriya Gopinath Bordoloi International Airport, Guwahati has added new security check-in gates for faster and smoother passenger movements in the departure area.
The newly renovated security area having multiple check-in gates was inaugurated by MP Dr L Hanumanthaiah Rao, Member of the Parliamentary Standing Committee on Transport Culture and Tourism, in presence of Usha Padhee, Joint Secretary, Ministry of Civil Aviation, and DK Kamra, Regional Executive Director, NER.
�This will reduce passengers� check-in time and improve operations of the airport with better utilisation of the first-floor security area. It will further get better once two more aerobridges get DGCA clearance. Total passenger boarding bay will be four then,� said an AAI spokesman. AAI, airline officials and CISF officials were also present on the occasion.
