GUWAHATI, Feb 19 - Rajib Lochan Borthakur, a senior grade officer of Indian Information Service has joined the Central Board of Film Certification, Guwahati Regional Office as Regional Officer.
The Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Govt of India had recently decided to appoint IIS officers as regional officers in all the nine regional offices of CBFC, including Guwahati, on a regular basis.
Borthakur is the first regular officer holding this post. Feature films, documentaries, short films, Ad films, trailers, promos, video songs and any other video materials produced in Assam and other NE states are issued certificates for public exhibition from this office.
