AIZAWL, Jan 5 � Mizoram Excise and Narcotics Minister R Lalzirliana today reiterated the newly-legislated Mizoram Liquor Prohibition and Control (MLPC) Act 2014 will be implemented during the current fiscal and the notification will soon be issued.

Addressing a New Year tea party, Lalzirliana said there was a proposal to award wine shop vendor licence to State PSUs like the Mizoram Food and Allied Industries Corporation (MIFCO) which would help revamp the sick public undertaking.

There would be two or more Bonded Warehouses in the State, he said, adding there was a proposal to open four retail wine shops in Aizawl city, two shops in south Mizoram�s Lunglei town and one each in the other six district headquarters. � PTI
