JORABAT, Nov 2 - A new traffic unit was opened in Sonapur yesterday to check traffic movement as also the increasing number of road mishaps in the NH-37 stretch under Sonapur Police Station.
The new Sonapur traffic police unit will function under Jorabat Traffic Police Outpost. The strength of this traffic unit will be five police personnel.
The socially aware populace of the area has welcomed this step of the police to establish a new traffic unit in the Sonapur PS area. There was a demand for such a traffic unit for a long time.
