GUWAHATI, July 2 � B Paul Muktieh has joined as the new chairman & managing director of North Eastern Development Finance Corporation Ltd (NEDFi) from Thursday, stated a press release.
Muktieh, a Chief General Manager of IDBI, brings with him 24 years of commercial and development banking experience in diverse and varied areas of financial system. Prior to joining NEDFi, Muktieh was heading the small and medium enterprises of IDBI Bank and was based at the corporate office in Mumbai.
Muktieh hails from the region and has also experience of serving the NE region for over seven years as regional head during the period of 2001-2008 while in IDBI Bank. Besides serving as member on the board of directors of NEDFi from June 2006 to November 2008, he was also on the boards of West Bengal Financial Corporation, West Bengal Consultancy Organization, Assam Industrial Development Corporation, Rastriya Gramin Vikash Nidhi and many large industrial corporates, the release added.
