NAGAON, Sept 1 - Pushing aside all debate as well as speculations, through a mutual understanding between former Union Railway Minister for State and senior BJP leader, Rajen Gohain and sitting MLA of Nagaon, Rupak Sarma, the board committee of Nagaon Sports Association (NSA) has been formed today.�
Capitalising the presence of both ruling party�s leaders in the new committee to NSA as uncontested president and executive president, the new committee was categorically formed today at the office of the association through voting system among the various club members registered under the association.�
As per results of the vote, Plaban Boruah was elected as the general secretary and Ramesh Kr Agarwala as treasurer while Ashim Kr Bhowal and Promud Kothari, Rinku Das and Samir Hazarika were elected as joint secretary and assistant secretary respectively.�
On the other hand, Jiwanmal Surana, Ravisankar Majumdar, Pradeep Kr Hazarika, Tapan Kr Sarma and Prasanta Kr Bora were elected as vice president of the association.
