SHILLONG, Oct 15 - Meghalaya Governor Tathagata Roy today appointed H Giri as a member of the Meghalaya Human Rights Commission.
Giri is a retired District and Sessions Court judge and has vast experience behind her with regard to legal matters.
After passing LLB in 1986 from the Shillong Law College, Giri rose in rank and became the District and Sessions Judge for NDPS cases, Prevention of Corruption Act, Wakf Tribunal, Electricity Act, Labour Act, etc. Giri retired as the District and Sessions Judge till her retirement in 2017.
