SHILLONG, Dec 2 - Lt Gen Depinder Singh Ahuja has taken over as General Officer Commanding of 101 Area headquartered here recently.
Commissioned into the Bengal Sappers in Dec 1981, the new GOC has had a chequered career spanning 35 years. He has been a military observer at Angola as part of United Nations Mission. He has also been an instructor at the prestigious Defence Services Staff College in Wellington, a Defence press release said today.
