GUWAHATI, March 18 - The new executive committee of the All Assam Media Workers� Union was elected at the organisation�s second annual conference held at the Pensioners Bhavan at Chandmari here today. Sudipta Sarkar was elected president while Deepak Bhuyan was elected as the general secretary.
The other members of the new committee are: Lakhmikanta Barman (working president), Manoj Mohan Dutta and Jiten Kalita (vice presidents). Keshab Kalita and Dugdha Ram Kalita have been elected as advisors of the union.
Employees of different media houses were present at today�s conference, during which various issues of the workers were raised and discussed.
Media Advisor to the Chief Minister Hrishikesh Goswami, PF (enforcement) officer Kallol Bhattacharya and other guests spoke at the conference.
