GUWAHATI, March 13 - The All Kurukh (Oraon) Students� Union (AKSU) organised a general meeting at INTUC Paltan Bazar here on March 10 with the main agenda to dissolve the central executive committee, according to a press release issued here today.
The meeting was presided over by the student body�s finance secretary Norbert Minj.
The meeting, where office-bearers of AKSU�s different district committees took part, decided to dissolve the central executive committee due to its �various problems and failures� and elect new faces to lead the Kurukh community in all spheres.
Accordingly, an ad hoc committee was formed on the same day with David Bara as president and other central executive members.
The ad hoc committee was mandated to form a full-fledged central committee on AKSU�s sixth foundation day to be celebrated in Chirang district some time in the current month, the release added.
