GUWAHATI, July 4 - The Secretariat Administration Department, in collaboration with NIC, Assam State Unit, has developed a comprehensive e-pass system for Assam Secretariat, as part of the 100-day Action Plan of the Government.
�Hence, the manual system of issuance of visitor�s entry pass, car pass (temporary and permanent) and special entry pass is abolished with immediate effect from July 1, 2016 onwards. From this date onwards, no pass will be generated manually,� an official release said.
The services are accessible to public through online system by logging in to URL http://103.8.249.88/applyonline. Officials of the Govt of Assam/Govt of India/autonomous bodies/PSUs who are working outside the Assam Secretariat may use URL available for public for applying car pass/entry pass or they can apply through their administrative department.
These services may also be availed using the link given in the official website of Govt of Assam, www.assam.gov.in.
