GUWAHATI, March 5 - Governor Padmanabha Acharya today administered the oath of office and secrecy to newly appointed Chief Justice of the Gauhati High Court, Ajit Singh at the New Block premises of the High Court. Chief Justice Singh is a former judge of the Rajasthan High Court.
Several dignitaries, including the Meghalaya Chief Justice, judges of the Gauhati High Court, the State Chief Secretary, the Deputy Commissioner of Kamrup (Metro) and other officials attended the swearing-in ceremony, according to an official press release here this evening.
