New BTC officials assume office

KOKRAJHAR, May 3 - The new administrator of the Bodoland Territorial Council (BTC), Rajesh Prasad and newly-appointed Principal Secretary Siddhartha Singh assumed their offices on April 30 at the BTC Secretariat, Kodamtola in Kokrajhar.

Both the officers jointly held a meeting with the BTC officials at the secretariat.

Prasad, expressing his satisfaction over the fact that the BTC area has remained free from COVID-19, urged the people to maintain social distancing. He also thanked the Governor for appointing him as the BTC administrator.

The term of the BTC ended on April 27 and the Governor of Assam has appointed IAS Officer Rajesh Prasad as the new BTC administrator. The Governor gave the responsibility of the BTC administration to Prasad after taking over charge of the council.
