NAGAON, June 22 � The Nagaon Sports Association has formed its new body in the annual general meeting held here at the Nagaon Sports Club pavilion yesterday.
Apart from having other discussions, the meeting also formed new committee for next four years. State Minister Rokibul Hussain has been retained as the president while Pradip Kumar Hazarika (46) defeated Tapan Das (13) by 33 votes in a straight contest to retain the secretaryship for the fifth consecutive terms.
The meeting set up the 38-member body with five vice presidents, two joint secretaries, two assistant secretaries along with sectional secretaries.
