GUWAHATI, May 4 � The Annual General Meeting of the Guwahati Sports Association (GSA) was held here today. The uncontested members of the new GSA body are � Munin Nobis (president), Bhola Baruah (secretary) and Nawab Ali (joint secretary).
In today�s polls, Paresh Chandra Das and Dilip Shankar Saikia became the vice-presidents. The assistant general secretary�s post went to Debashis Rai and Dhrubajyoti Kalita. Causing an upset, old-timer Bablu Choudhury was beaten by Ranjit Sarma for the cricket secretary�s post. In soccer, Pranab Singh and Sajhal Gupta scored a tie with 40 votes each, but Singh went through via a lottery.
