BISWANATH CHARIALI, Nov 18 - The newly-appointed Deputy Commissioner of Biswanath district, Dhruva Jyoti Das, ACS, assumed office today. Prior to this job, he had served as the Director of Inland Water Transport and also Additional Secretary to the Government of Assam, Transport Department. After assuming office, he sought help and cooperation from everybody in running the district administration smoothly.
Earlier, outgoing DC Pabitra Ram Khaound was bade farewell in a meeting held in the conferrence hall of the Deputy Commissioner, Biswanath. The meeting was presided over by Additional Deputy Commissioner Pradeep Kumar Sutradhar. Addressing the meeting, Khaound expressed his gratitude to the officials and employees belonging to various departments of the district. Additional Deputy Commissioner Parijat Bhuyan, Assistant Commissioner Trilina Taid, DFO Mukut Das, Associate Dean of Biswanath College of Agriculture Ranen Kumar Barman, SDIPRO Prashant Kumar Borah etc., were also present in the meeting.
