GUWAHATI, April 25 � Major General US Dadu of the Corps of Engineers has taken over as the Additional Director General (ADG) of National Cadet Corps Directorate, North Eastern Region (NER), at Shillong.
The officer has been posted from the College of Military Engineering, Pune where he was the Dean and Deputy Commandant of the College and has held many prestigious appointments during his illustrious career.
Maj Gen Dadu has expressed his gratitude to the State Governments of Assam, Arunachal Pradesh, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland and Tripura for the support and assistance to the premiere youth organization of the country and is hopeful of continued support from the State Governments to the NCC in the future.
The ADG has also expressed his appreciation, in particular to the energetic youth of the North-east for their wholehearted response and commitment towards NCC activities in the region, said an official statement.
