GUWAHATI, Aug 22 - The two-day 15th meeting of the Technical Coordination Committee and North Eastern Regional Power Committee (NERPC) concluded here yesterday. The meeting was held under the aegis of NEEPCO, said an official press release.

The NERPC meeting held on August 21 was chaired by its chairman and Assam Power Minister Rockybul Hussain and was attended by Power Ministers of Nagaland and Tripura, K Sangtam and Manik Dey respectively. Senior officials of the State Governments of the region, State and Central Power utilities like NEEPCO, NTPC, NHPC, Powergrid, etc., attended the meetings. The latest entry in the power sector of the region, OTPC also participated.

Many issues pertaining to the power sector of the region were taken up and resolved at the meetings. Issues pertaining mainly to augmentation and strengthening of the transmission and distribution sectors covering almost all the States of the region were discussed.
