GUWAHATI, Nov 3 - Ramkrishna Das (27), an inmate of the A to Z Rehabilitation Centre located in the Odalbakra area here, died in a private hospital this morning under mysterious circumstances.
Family members of the deceased alleged that the authorities of the Centre did not adhere to the norms while providing medical treatment to Das, who had been ailing for some time. The authorities, however, refuted the allegations and said that the family was informed about it.
Meanwhile, the police said that the deceased�s mother, Padmini Das had lodged an FIR, alleging negligence on the part of the those running the Centre.
Ramkrishna Das was shifted to the Centre in February this year and it was on October 27 that he was shifted to the hospital after his piles-related complications aggravated.
�We are investigating the case from all angles and a case has been registered,� the police added.
