GUWAHATI, Oct 31 - The North Eastern Development Finance Corporation (NEDFi) has bagged two prestigious awards from The Association of Development Financing Institutions in Asia and the Pacific (ADFIAP) for �Financial Inclusion for its project NEDFi Micro Finance Scheme� and �Local Economic Development for its Water Hyacinth Project Weed to Wealth�.
The award function was held at Manila, Philippines during the annual general meeting of ADFIAP on October 29 through video conference which was attended by members of the development financial institutions from Asia-Pacific region.
ADFIAP was established on October 1, 1976 under the auspices of the Asian Development Bank (ADB), and is the focal point of all development banks and other financial institutions engaged in the financing of development in the Asia-Pacific region. Its mission is to advance sustainable development through its members. Currently, ADFIAP has 103 members from 39 countries in the Asia-Pacific region.
